In modern industry and environmental protection fields, oil-water tubular separators, as an efficient and precise liquid separation equipment, are playing an increasingly important role.
1. Working Principle
The oil-water separator is a type of GF tubular centrifuge, designed based on the principle of centrifugal force, and is a high-speed centrifugal separation device. Its core component is the drum, which is tubular in shape, with a small diameter and a large length, and operates at extremely high speeds. When the emulsion (such as an oil-water mixture) enters from the lower end of the drum, it is driven by the longitudinal ribs inside the drum to rotate at the same speed as the drum. Under the action of centrifugal force, different components in the emulsion quickly separate, with the heavy liquid layer (such as water) moving towards the drum wall, and the light liquid layer (such as oil) moving towards the center of the drum. These two layers of liquid flow along the length of the drum and are eventually discharged from the corresponding overflow ports at the top of the drum, achieving efficient separation. If the emulsion contains small solid particles, the solids will also be separated within the drum and can be removed when the machine is stopped.
2. Application Fields
2.1 Food Processing: In the food industry, oil-water separators are commonly used for the separation of some animal and vegetable oils, such as the separation of fish oil/shrimp oil/chicken oil and water, and the separation of oil and residue from boiled bone broth.
2.2 Feed Processing Industry: Oil-water separation of kitchen waste oil, oil-water separation in animal organ processing, etc.
2.3 Refining of Vegetable Oils: Processing of Sichuan pepper oil, sea buckthorn oil, cold-pressed coconut oil, avocado oil, and extraction of essential oils such as rose essential oil and citrus oil.
2.4 Purification and Recovery of Oils: Recovery processes for lubricating oil, inverter oil, engine oil, etc.
2.5 Chemical Industry: Separation of two immiscible liquids with a density difference.
