1. Principle
Centrifugation utilizes the strong centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the centrifuge rotor to accelerate the settling speed of particles in the liquid, separating substances with different settling coefficients and buoyant densities in the feed liquid.
The separator consists of the machine body, transmission system, drum, liquid collection tray, and feed bearing seat, among others. The motor is connected to a large pulley, which transmits power to the flexible main shaft through belts, tensioning wheels, and small pulleys, driving the drum to rotate at high speed. The non-homogeneous feed liquid is injected into the drum through a nozzle at the bottom of the feed bearing seat, and three longitudinal plates (also known as three blades) are installed inside the drum to ensure that the feed liquid quickly reaches the same angular velocity as the drum.
The feed liquid entering the drum is driven by the high-speed rotating drum, forming a centrifugal force field. Under the action of the centrifugal force field, the feed liquid is separated into three phases: liquid-liquid-solid while being retained in the drum cavity. The heavier liquid phase forms an outer ring and flows out from the heavy liquid outlet of the liquid collection tray, while the lighter liquid phase forms an inner ring and flows out from the light liquid outlet of the liquid collection tray. The outflowing liquid is not under pressure. In both GF and GQ type tubular centrifuges, during the separation process, trace solids will deposit on the drum wall and will be manually removed after the machine stops.
2. Application Range
2.1 Blood Separation: The separation of animal plasma and blood cells is the most important separation step in the production process of plasma protein powder and blood cell protein powder.
2.2 Oil-Water-Solid Separation: The premise is that oil and water are not emulsified, allowing for rapid separation of various oils and water, including animal oil and water, vegetable oil and water, machine oil, lubricating oil, and other chemical oil purification.
2.3 Separation of Immiscible Liquids with Density Differences: Used for the separation of two-phase (two types of liquids) or three-phase (two types of liquids and a small amount of solids) in many chemical industries.
